Erzsebet19 Apartment is a 3-bedroom and 2-bathroom sustainable serviced apartment equipped with different spa elements, like Finnish sauna, jacuzzi and steam bath. With the flat’s spacious and bright areas, we can accommodate up to 11 persons on 9 single beds and 2 sofa beds. Our place is perfect for bigger families, larger groups of friends, sports teams and even business groups, who prefer sleeping separately while can do common activities together.
Our serviced apartment awaits you with a fully equipped kitchen, including coffee maker, dishwasher, oven, all the necessary dishes and a big dining table. Besides these a washing machine, a dryer, an iron and a safe can also be found in the flat. Each room has individually controlled air conditioning and electric shutters. In addition to freshly made bed linen, we provide one towel per guest, and in the bathrooms you will also have hand soap and hairdryers available.
Erzsebet19 Apartment is located in the heart of Budapest, on Erzsébet Boulevard, close to Blaha Lujza Square and to the New York Palace. Several cafés & restaurants, thermal baths and cultural attractions can be found in walking distance.

Sustainability story
Stagland, the managing company running Erzsebet19 Apartment has been on the travel market since 2016. It is a family business dealing with short-term accommodation and event organisation. We are specialized in larger group, family and business travellers who are travelling together but prefer to sleep in separate single beds. Our main market was stag and hen groups organized in Budapest. We were very successful financially however we had many conflicts with our neighbours and locals due to the behaviour of our groups.
During the pandemic in 2020-2021 we mainly focused on business travellers, sport teams, bigger families and even offered our apartment for free to doctors and nurses, who were serving the people during the hard times. We were pleased with the results and did not want to return to the more problematic party groups. We realized that we need to change and create a more sustainable accommodation for our guests, but the change of the types of our guests was only the first step in reaching our goals. In the beginning of the Ukrainian war, we took in refugee families and helped them to find long term accommodation in Budapest.
In 2022 we got included to the Tourban project to become more competitive and more sustainable with our urban short-term rental. Our goal to “get greener and cleaner” contains a lot of steps and challenges. We are guided through these with the help of the Green Tourism certification. As one of the first steps Erzsebet19 Apartment is fully digitalized, the booking and the check-in processes are totally paperless. Besides that we have made the following in our accommodation:
- We implemented new recycling rules to help our guests to behave more sustainably when it comes to trash. We are only using Poly-Pack rubbish bags made of recycled materials
- We are using eco-friendly and COVID safe Sutter Zero cleaning materials to reduce chemical products when cleaning
- We are using phosphate-free Sutter Oxipur Ecopowder washing powder to wash all of our textiles
- We prepare zero waste Green Touch liquid hand soap, bodywash and shampoo for our guests in the bathrooms
- We prepare plastic-free Crepto toilet papers made of biodegradable materials
Further we have a couple of energy and water saving measures in place. We use a Wi-Fi controlled thermostat, which is set to maximum 21° Celsius when we have guests to radically reduce the gas consumption during the winters. During summer days the aircon temperature and usage are also controlled via a cooling system. All our lights are changed to LEDs, and we aim to have at least B energy efficiency class on our white goods to reduce the electricity consumption. To reduce the water consumption, we have water saving tap filters on all taps and showers in the apartment. Last but not least we are giving 1% of our income to HOTE – Hosszúhetény Tourist Association, who are planting trees on the countryside reducing our overall carbon footprint.
In the future we are planning to use recycled furniture, including beds, sofas, and chairs. Other amenities in the apartment such as carpets, curtains, bedsheets, towels and linens will be made of sustainable materials. With the implementation of a noise filter, we could ensure that our guests will not disturb the local resident’s life balance, so we can avoid continued problems due to noise activities.
